What Is EventsAir?
EventsAir is a cloud-based event management platform built specifically for professional conference organisers and event agencies. It brings together the full event lifecycle — from initial registration and abstract management through to on-site check-in, attendee engagement, sponsorship management and post-event analytics — in a single integrated system.
For a PCO managing multiple congresses simultaneously, the ability to handle everything from delegate registration to financial reporting in one place is a significant operational advantage. It reduces the risk of data errors that come with managing separate systems and gives the whole team a consistent, shared view of each event.
Kuoni Tumlare Congress has worked with EventsAir — and its predecessor, EventsPro — for over 20 years. Since migrating to the current platform in 2017, we have managed more than 500 events through EventsAir, representing over 77,800 delegate registrations across congresses with international attendance. When the pandemic required a rapid shift to virtual delivery, the platform supported 37 remote congresses, allowing our clients to maintain scientific and professional continuity during an exceptionally challenging period.

The Innovation Hub: Building on the Platform
Since 2017, Kuoni Tumlare Congress has run an Innovation Hub — an internal team that brings together operations staff, developers and designers to develop new functionality, test improvements and solve problems that arise directly from live event delivery.
The Hub does not develop in the abstract. Every project starts with a real operational challenge: a workflow that takes too long, a task that is prone to human error, a client requirement that the platform does not cover out of the box. The team then identifies whether the solution lies in configuring EventsAir differently, writing custom scripts, or building new tooling that connects to the platform via its Open API.
One example of this approach in practice: the team transformed a complex congress programme — 13 parallel streams over five days, covering 400 sessions — from an Excel-based system into a fully managed EventsAir workflow. The custom migration script eliminated manual data entry and the errors that come with it, saving multiple days of work in the lead-up to the event.
Another project extended EventsAir’s presentation management capability, building a custom tool that stores speaker presentations and sends automated SMS alerts to session administrators when files are missing or not yet uploaded. You can read more about the team’s work in the EventsAir case study on Kuoni Tumlare Congress.
Recognised for Innovation: The 2025 EventsAir Innovation Award
The recognition reflects an approach to innovation that is grounded in practical delivery: reducing complexity for organisers and stakeholders, and improving the way meetings and events are planned, governed and experienced. It is an approach that many of our clients and partners already see in their day-to-day work with the team.
“This recognition means a lot to me, as it reflects years of ongoing effort to explore and test new technologies and approaches to better manage our events. Our focus has been not only on improving efficiency and reducing costs, but also on enhancing the attendee experience and client satisfaction.”
— Franck Grosset, Head of PCO and Innovation Hub, Kuoni Tumlare Congress
What This Means for Congress Clients
For clients working with Kuoni Tumlare Congress, this combination — a robust, purpose-built platform and a team that actively develops and customises it — means a more efficient, more reliable congress experience.
Processes that would otherwise require manual workarounds are automated. Bespoke requirements that fall outside standard platform functionality can be addressed. And the institutional knowledge built up through years of working closely with EventsAir means problems are solved faster and with less disruption to the event.
This approach to technology has directly shaped our client relationships. Organisations including WADA, FDI and ICP have chosen to work with Kuoni Tumlare Congress in part because of this commitment to innovation — recognising that a team willing to develop tailored solutions is a stronger long-term partner than one that relies solely on off-the-shelf tools.
Technology That Works in Practice, Not Just in Theory
At Kuoni Tumlare Congress, our investment in EventsAir goes well beyond holding a licence. Over 20 years of working on the platform — and eight years of active development through the Innovation Hub — means we approach every congress with a level of technical depth that directly benefits our clients. Fewer manual workarounds, faster problem-solving, and a team that has genuinely seen and solved the edge cases that arise in complex event delivery.
This is the foundation on which organisations including WADA, FDI and ICP have built long-term relationships with us — and it is the standard we bring to every new congress we take on.
